Activating the IMPULSE Wireless Android or iOS application

Register the IMPULSE Wireless Application


Auto populate (the IMEI button) works on devices up to Android 9 or 10 depending on manufacturer (eg. Samsung Galaxy Note 8).


1. Open the IMPULSE Wireless app

2. Enter in the activation code which we have sent you. This may be your device IMEI. On older versions of Android, you will have the option to tap on "IMEI" (on older PTT app versions this says "ESN"). Your activation code will be automatically entered. If you do not see the IMEI option, you will need to enter it manually. You may find your IMEIby opening the phone dialler and dialing *#06#

3. Tap on ACTIVATE




  

 

If the IMEI button is not visible (Android 11+, eg. Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro), copy the device IMEI from the device settings "about" section, or enter the IMEI or activation code manually.


IMPULSE Wireless on iOS (iPhone or iPad)


1. Open the IMPULSE Wireless app

2. Enter in the activation code as the "username". Leave the "password" field blank.



Set the Default Callee, so you can transmit at any time with the screen off - Channels mode

 

Your device will be showing the Channels screen, Groups screen, or Contacts screen. Which of these is displayed will depend on how your IMPULSE Wireless system has been configured.


TheChannels Screengives RX buttons to select which channels you wish to receive from. You may select any number, and you will receive any incoming activity on these channels.


Select TX on the channel you wish to transmit on. Even when the app is in the background or your screen is off, you will be transmitting on this channel (providing you are not participating in activity on another channel at the time).



Set the Default Callee, so you can transmit at any time with the screen off - Groups (classic) mode


If using theGroups or Contacts Screens,long-press on your desired group or contact, and select "set default callee" in the popup menu. The default callee will then move to the top of the list, and you will see a green star.


Once your default callee is set, when you press PTT, you will be transmitting on this channel (providing you are not participating in activity on another channel at the time), even when the app is in the background or your screen is off.
