The Samsung XCover Pro and XCover6 Pro are rugged enterprise smartphones with a physical PTT key and physical SOS key. Many users pair a Stone Mountain BluSkye Bluetooth remote speaker microphone (RSM) with these or other devices to provide greater flexibility with loud-and-clear audio.

Here are some tips and tricks for using the Samsung XCover Pro and XCover6 Pro with your Stone Mountain BluSkye Bluetooth remote speaker microphone (RSM).

1. Don't pair multiple devices to the one RSM. If you do, you might inadvertently end up with the wrong device connected to the RSM on the day you want to use it, if it's close by.

2. The RSM will give a red flash when not connected, and a blue flash when connected.

3. Check for the Bluetooth symbol in the notification bar of the phone when connected. It should have two triangles either side of it to indicate that a Bluetooth device is connected.

4. The first troubleshooting step if things have stopped working is to reboot both the phone and RSM. If the configuration is correct and the devices have previously been paired, they will almost always reconnect correctly after a reboot of both devices together. There are a number of reasons the Bluetooth connection may have suffered a malfunction:

    - If the phone and RSM have been seperated and brought back together, and the Bluetooth connection dropped while they were more than 10 metres apart, sometimes the Bluetooth connection does not re-establish fully. Reboot both the phone and the Stone Mountain remote speaker microphone together.

    - If the Stone Mountain BluSkye Bluetooth RSM has been rebooted but the phone has not, sometimes the Bluetooth connection does not re-establish fully. Reboot both the phone and the BluSkye RSM together.

    - If you have other Bluetooth devices connected to the phone, these may be using the audio connection rather than the RSM. Check your Bluetooth settings to ensure the Stone Mountain BluSkye PTT RSM is connected for Phone and Media audio.

    - If the BluSkye RSM has a yellow flash appended to the blue or red flash, it has less than 15% battery remaining. Charge the RSM on a Stone Mountain in-vehicle cradle (TruDock), or a Stone Mountain approved charge cable or wall charger. From fully flat, the BluSkye will be completely charged in less than six hours.

If you need to pair the BlueSkye RSM with a new device, you will need to put the BluSkye into pairing mode. While powered off, press and hold the power button until you see the rear LED flashing red and blue. You are now in pairing mode. You should see the BluSkye appear as "Stone Mountain BluSkye PTT" on your smartphone. Pair it and the BluSkye will beep and change to a blue flash, indicating it is connected.
