There are two versions of the Stone Mountain BluSkye Bluetooth remote speaker microphone.

Both versions have the PTT button and volume control on the left edge of the RSM, and a red SOS button on the top.

The V2 has additional function buttons, and you can see the difference between the V1 and V2 below.

Charging:

The Stone Mountain BluSkye V1 and V2 can both be charged from a 240V-5VDC USB adapter with current output of 500mA or greater, using the supplied USB charge cable.

We do not recommend charging from a PC or laptop as the supplied voltage and current may not be stable enough.

Inserting a third party cable into the BluSkye, or charging with any voltage greater than 6VDC, may damage your RSM.

The wall chargers which have previously been supplied with the V1 BluSkye might be 6VDC chargers. The V1 supports both 5V and 6V chargers. To reliably charge a V2 RSM, a 5V charger is required (such as a standard 240V-USB adapter).

A BluSkye will charge from fully flat to fully charged in 5-6 hours.

The POGO pins on the rear of the BluSkye are used for charging in a TruDock cradle, and for other accessories. The charging pins are physically connected to the charging plug on the bottom of the BluSkye.

- Charging via a TruDock or via a charge cable will power the exact same circuitry on the board of the RSM

- You can test that the BluSkye is being charged correctly and the TruDock is powered, by measuring 5V at the charge socket at the bottom of the RSM when it is docked in the cradle. Do not do this with multimeter probes directly, as you may short out the pins. We have test cables which you can plug in which light up when powered, making this testing easy, or you can use a standard 2.1mm DC plug. If the BluSkye RSM is turned on, you may also be able to see the green flash of the LED when looking down the back of the RSM when it is docked and charging in the TruDock cradle.
